Material Culture Studies

The undergraduate minor in Material Culture Studies examines the material world we have made and seeks to understand people's cultural beliefs, values, ideas, and assumptions as expressed in the things and places they create, use, see, and live in. This course of study introduces students to the rich potential of the material world in order to provide insights into the world's diverse cultures.
