Theatre
Once every four years, a group of exceptionally talented students is selected for admission to the University of Delaware's Professional Theatre Training Program (PTTP), a graduate-level conservatory, for three years of training leading to the Master of Fine Arts degree. For undergraduate students, the Theatre Department offers three distinct undergraduate minors all designed to deepen the student's appreciation of the theatre as an art form within the context of a liberal arts education. Students may select from the Performance Studies Minor, Theatre Production Minor, or Theatre Studies Minor. Coursework in all minors provides students with a foundation for theatre appreciation, focusing on the art and craft of theatre making. The Theatre Department also provides the University with a variety of general education courses in theatre designed to expand appreciation of, and future participation in, theatre.
