Linguistics & Cognitive Science

 

The Department of Linguistics & Cognitive Science offers a major in Cognitive Science and two minors at the undergraduate level: one in linguistics and one in cognitive science. The Department has course templates for individualized degrees in Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and in Pre-professional Speech Pathology, and in Cognitive and Linguistic Science. At the graduate level, the Department offers a flexible program leading to the Master of Arts degree in Linguistics. This allows students to design programs of study in areas of theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics and cognitive science. A Doctor of Philosophy degree is also available with specialization in theoretical linguistics, psycholinguistics, and applied linguistics.
