Medical Scholars
The Medical Scholars Program integrates faculty and courses at both the University of Delaware and Jefferson Medical College. By studying new academic subjects and gaining practical experience in areas now underemphasized in medical education, students understand health care in sociocultural, political, and economic as well as biological terms. The curriculum ranges from traditional medical subjects to courses in humanities, social sciences, economics, and political science. Small group discussions, problem-based instruction, and hands-on experience encourage students to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and effective communicators.
